It's been a sad week indeed. The loss of three celebrity greats including Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and now Michael Jackson weigh heavy in the hearts of people all across the world. One of the three hits especially close to home...being a childhood hero and idol of a Habbo Staff member, SmoothCriminal.

As many who currently enjoy Habbo might not know, growing up young in the 80's with Michael Jackson's music and vision had a great influence in many lives. I can still remember watching Moonwalker over and over again in my parent's living room, quickly becoming enamoured with his music and music videos. It's hard to deny that some of the unique Habbo.com events like last years Prom of the Dead carried heavy inspiration from Thriller. But there isn't much else that hasn't already been said about the tragic passing of MJ...

I wanted to write this in thanks to all the Habbo's that sent in e-mails and signed my guestbook with messages of sympathy and empathy over the past 24 hours. Your well-wishes should also be with the Jackson family and friends, as they just lost one of their youngest. As is the passing with such music greats like Elvis, John Lennon and many others...the world is in mourning today.
