Time: Midday
Story: Kajil was the first to emerge from the plumes of smoke, in her flowing robes embroidered with sequins shining row upon row she looked like a goddess. She held several papers, old and soiled from time. At their sight King Rajarshi flushed a deep crimson. He stepped back carefully, glancing at the fresh golden curtains he had had hung especially for the occasion. He ordered his soldiers to seize Kajil, desperate to have her rid of once and for all. But Kajil’s eyes flashed as her hands shook only slightly. In shock, the hall of people stood still as Kajil read Rajarshi’s own diary, which she had snatched from his chambers only moments before. He confessed all, from countless murders to the capture of Kajil herself and the forceful taking of the throne: the throne in which so many people had been happy to give him. Rajarshi stepped away, embarrassed, but the soldiers and any other servants and maids that stood around flew at their fallen king. Rajarshi was lost within the mass of people, only his echoing cries left ringing in the hall. Paresh stepped forward sweeping Padma up in his arms, staring dreamily at each other, unbelieving of their freed love. Kajil stood smiling. Slowly, heads turned from the furious crowd and people drifted off to stand around the hall. Kajil nodded to the priest, and he bowed back, stepping forward to the altar. “We are gathered here today...” As his crystal clear words sung out to the hall, Padma and Paresh stood intertwined in each other’s arms. And just as suddenly as people had cheered for the great King Rajarshi, now they cheered only for Kajil their warrior queen and Padma and Paresh, guardians of love.
Location: Palace
Plot Breakdown: Kajil manages to get hold a diary which she reads in front of everyone. It is proven that Rajarshi is a murderer and a fake. Soldiers and servants in the hall attack him. The priest marries Padma and Paresh after everything and everyone simply cheers.
Cast: King Rajarshi, Padma, Paresh, Kajil, Soldiers, Servants
