although, sometime after we decided that wasn't quite the path we were going to take. Seeing as we were a relatively popular Rare Forum, we just scrapped the values.

Rare Collectors History
Rare collectors started March 18th 2008, to much applause and dancing, by Lutist, Rahp, and Sw0rd.
Originally, we were a group which suggested rares (ALL of which [except one] went up in value)

Some Rare Collecting tips from the self-proclaimed pros
* If you can't figure out a reason to collect a certain rare, don't collect it. We can't stress this enough.
* If you don't like a rare, don't collect it. It doesn't matter what everyone else says about it.
*Always have a good amount of HC's/Gold bars, you never know when you might find that great deal.
*Stick to the single space furniture. 2+ space furniture generally don't rise in value.

Why was Rare Collectors started?
After the travesty that was Violet Parasols, we kind of just wanted to suggest rares that were actually good to collect. Which we did, to great success.
Where do you see Rare Collectors going onward?
Hopefully we'll have some fun competitions and such as well as still be able to provide a place for people to post about rares.

Why should I bother collecting rares?

Other reasons could be:
A site says they are worth more (generally doesn't work if the supply greatly defeats the demand)
Finally, sometimes, simply nobody wants the rare anymore. It's not a hot item; nobody wants it for their room.

Rares to NOT collect v3

- Beware of Collectibles in general.
- Habbo Club Rares
Bad idea all around, most are hard to trade, the rest won't rise in value.
- Sleeping bags, hammocks, etc.
Don't trade for bed items. No exceptions.
- Inflatable chairs
This list doesn't include Lime chair, which is actually decent.

- One-of-a-kind's. Hello Yellow SM!
