Most, if not all official fansites were once unofficial fansites and depended on word of mouth to gain the users it needed to become active and gain official status. If unofficial fansite supporters are banned for promoting these sites, this word of mouth is removed and a vital part of the site's growth is missing.

It is time for owners, staff, and supporters of unofficial fansites to stand up to Sulake and make it clear that we will NOT, under any circumstances, sit by while unofficial fansite supporters are being banned for trying to help a fansite's growth.
