Um, the point of that is so you don't waste your food... since there are starving people that would gratefully eat it all.
KarmaJunkie, life isn't fair, get over it. Deal with life not bowing to your every demand. Besides, those things do not show that God is hearless and cruel. God gave us free will, and some "side-effects" happen due to that.
Maybe if you read more than that section you'd understand.
I just read the bible, after hearing all the things about god being loving, caring and kind. I realized how wrong it all was, he tortured a guy for no good reason, and let the Jews wander in the desert for 40 years. This god is heartless and cruel, and angry and insensitive. With the whole " they ate an apple lets punish humanity for it" so now everyone is going to hell anyway. just thought you'd like to know. have a great day
