Natural (Unknown concept) atheists
This is probably the least common path to atheism taken by adults. This is due to the aggressiveness and commonness of religion. When the concept of the existence of a deity is unknown, the individual is an atheist. A newborn baby is an atheist; the idea of a god is something that is taught or discovered.

Materialism
Preoccupation with or emphasis on material objects, comforts, and considerations, with a disinterest in or rejection of spiritual, intellectual, or cultural values.

Objectivism
A philosophy created by Ayn Rand that holds the validity of objective phenomena over subjective experience.

Rationalism
From Latin "reason". In philosophy, it’s a theory that holds that reason alone, unaided by experience, can arrive at basic truth regarding the world.

Do to the astronomical growth of this group, we recently had to remove the member cap so that even more Habbo Atheists could come meet fellow nonbelievers. In doing this, we forfeited the ability to search through the list of members and see who and how many Habbos are a part of the group. But don't worry, you can still view the member count underneath the group name on the group info widget at the top center of the page.

Welcome to my brain child, that is the Habbo Atheist Group. I first made this group over a year ago in an attempt to unite all of Habbo's Atheists that I knew were out there. I am not as active as I used to be, but I know this group will live on. It will inspire others to be proud of what they believe in, and help people make friends on at least one common ground. I thank you for visiting my group, but I ask of you only one thing. Please dont bash us or any other religion.

Statistics
850 Million Secularists, Non-Religious, Agnostic and Atheists in the world. That's about 15% or more than 1 out of 10 people, making this the fourth largest 'religious' belief grouping.

The population of non-believers in the USA is about 10% and 10-25% in Europe.

Most studies of the hightly educated and scientists show a higher proportion of atheists and non-believers.

Prison populations appear to have a lower proportion of Atheists and non-believers.

Discovery atheists
This is the most common path taken to atheism. The individual discovers their lack of belief in a god or gods by way of examining the definition of and the beliefs surrounding the existence of a god or gods. The disbelief or lack of belief is found either by concluding that the god cannot exist or that there is no reason to believe that the god exists.

Paths to atheism
Every atheist has his own story about how he became an atheist. No atheist takes only one path; there are often many factors that take one to atheism. These factors are grouped into four distinct categories or "paths to atheism". An atheist may be the result of any combination and degree of the four paths. Share your path in our Discussion board.

Strong and Weak Atheism

Agnosticism:
Someone who is unsure of the existance of a god or gods.
*This is not a form of Atheism

Weak Atheism:
Stating that you do not believe in a god or gods.

Strong Atheism:
Asserting that God does not or can not exist.

Reactionary atheists
The individual finds that the beliefs of a particular religion does not fit them or has let them down and rebels against it by heading in the opposite direction towards non-belief.

Indoctrinated atheists
This situation is where atheism is freely or forcibly taught to the individual. It is also possible for an individual to indoctrinate themself.

Is Atheism A Religion?

Unlike a religion, atheism is not organized under a common doctrine (belief system). The only shared opinion among atheists is the nonexistence of a deity. There are a few common beliefs among atheists such as views regarding morality, religion and spirituality, but these beliefs vary greatly and are outside the definition of atheism and thus are not required to be an atheist.

Atheism Defined
Atheism (A'thE-iz"um),-n, is defined as:
1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2. disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

The term atheism comes from the Greek word atheos, meaning godless. Atheos is derived form a, meaning "without," and theos, meaning "deity".

Atheism is to be distinguished from agnosticism, which leaves open the question whether there is a god or not.

if god was real he would be bias because only people who belive in him can get in heven. if god is ment to love all his children or whatever why does he only let in thouse who belive him him. that in turn would mean god isnt perfect like he is ment to be acording to the bible. now im not saying religon is wrong have your belifes. but dont try and change ours

Ok I dont have a problem with People who believe in god, or whatever but your basicaly saying you believe in magic? How can heaven and Hell be real? its like magic think about it, Theres to much that science proves that show's theres not such thing as god. But I dont have problems with people who want to Believe that theres a place for them after they die.

Everyone needs to realize that there is no God. Really. All that there is is the Law of Love, attraction, and Energy working forces in your life. If you don't believe me, then The Secret written by Rhonda Byrne may just flip that ideal thought.

Every Single person that has raged is as bad as each other. I'm an Atheist, but since when were we Militant about it? I believe Religion was not meant to be taken Seriously, but it did carry an Important message: Morals, being nice to your fellow man, etc. The Bible teaches "Love thy neighbour" to Christians.

"Love Thy Neighbor" Is talking about Israel not your actual neighbor. Also the monothesitic religions are intended to be followed to the letter.

^The above statement/statistic is misleading , of course in prison got higher proposition of people believe in religion, but what you didn't study is what cause their to enter prison ?

The answer is; by not believing/not following religion's teaching truthfully is the cause their enter the prison in the first place !
