How do you prevent scamming?
Scamming can be avoided in simple steps:
1) When trading make sure you're always the last one to accept to double check it.
2) If you decide to buy room rights, make sure it is from someone well known.
3) There is NO such thing as free credits or furni. Unless you're in a giveaway.
4) If you are a victim of scamming please use the Habbo Help Tool via the Help Tab.

Why am I not allowed to share my account?
If you share your account with your best friend or someone else, it is very easily to fool people and lead to false identity and misunderstandings. It is NOT be done to gain furni/coins or to scam/cheat people. If caught doing so, Habbo staff can check your IP (Internet Protocol) address and ban both of you from the account causing you to lose access to Habbo Hotel.

Why should I keep personal info private?
YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE COMPUTER.
Giving out personal info on Habbo such as your home address, phone number, full name etc. is a ban worthy cause also bad things can happen. Please DO NOT give out your personal details. With personal info, people may be able to take your account and you will lose it.

It's important to have a good password that no-one can guess. An easy to remember password might be extremely convenient, but if someone guesses it, your account could be lost. Using a good mixture of NUMB3R5 & CaPiTaL lEtTeRs is always better than only lower case. Always remember NEVER to tell anyone your password - not even a member of staff or a MOD would want to know it!

These can capture passwords and other personal information which you enter. NEVER visit ANY websites you're unsure of. It is wise that you have a good virus scanning program.
