Pirate Dictionary
Ahoy -- "Hello!"
Avast! -- "Hey!" Could be used as "Stop that!" or "Who goes there?"
Belay -- Stop that. "Belay that talk!" would mean "Shut up!"
Booty -- Loot.
Buccaneer -- A general term for the Caribbean pirates.
Cap'n -- Short for "captain."
Fair winds! -- Goodbye, good luck!
Gangway! -- "Get out of my way!"
Handsomely -- Quickly. "Handsomely now, men!" = "Hurry up!"
Me -- A piratical way to say "my."
Matey -- A piratical way to address someone in a cheerful, if not necessarily friendly, fashion.
Shanty -- A sea song.
Sink me! -- An expression of surprise.
Yo-ho-ho -- A very piratical thing to say, whether it actually means anything or not.

Talk Like a Pirate Day: Cannon Blast! (1:00 PM PST)
Blow yer opponents out o' the water! Only survivors will acquire the Pirate Day Plunderer badge!
Talk Like a Pirate Day: Walk the Plank! (3:00 PM PST)
Take a step forward when yer number be rolled. Last pirate standing be the winner of the Pirate Day Plunderer Badge! All the rest will be sent to Davy Jones' Locker!
