He left the cast, and shortly after Joey came back from rehab. Joey was a changed man. Everybody who was watching cried with him as he read his goodbye letter to drugs. He then left the show also. He and Greg were replaced by Brittini Sherrod and Nick Brown. The show continued as they improved at Improv, to finally play a show at the IOWEST, an improv bar in central Hollywood.

The Real World: Hollywood started as 7 strangers in 1 house put together. They had to help eachother through the bad and the good. They had to go to classed to learn improv, which was their goal. During the show, a cast member named Joey Kovar struggled with a problem with alcohol and drugs. He went to a rehabilitation center 30 miles from the set. During this this time, another cast member named Greg Halstead skipped three improv classes, and the teacher told him to pack his bags.
