How do I trade furniture?

Habbo has a secure trading system, you can trade items without fear of them being stolen.



To trade with another Habbo just click on them and a 'trade' button will appear under their name on the bottom right hand side of the Habbo window. If you click the 'trade' button a window will pop-up and you can drag the item you wish to trade from your hand to the window. When you are happy with the trade tick the box.

Why can't I trade in some rooms?

You can only trade on the Trading Floor in Habbo Hotel, part of the guest room area.

Do I have to trade?

No, trading is optional. If anyone is trying to force you to trade with them you should send a 'call for help' and report them to an on duty Hobba, then leave the room.

Can I get free furni by trading?

Habbos will often claim they can double your furni if you trade it to them, this is a lie and they are trying to steal your furni. If someone tries this then you should send a 'call for help' and report them to an on duty Hobba, then leave the room.

Can someone double/triple my furni by trading me?

No they are trying to steal your furni, you should send a 'call for help' and report them to an on duty Moderator, then leave the room.

What are items worth?

There is no guide to what items of furni are worth, they are worth whatever you are willing to accept or pay for them.

Can I trade in Public Rooms?

No, you can only trade in guest rooms that are on the Trading floor.

I used to be able to trade and suddenly I'm not. What is wrong?

Most likely you do not have the trading pass and therefore you are not eligible to trade according to the new trading rules.

How can I get the trading pass?

You have to fulfill the following criteria:
1) Habbo has verified his/her email.
2) Habbo's account is at least 3 days old.
3) Habbo has been in the hotel for a minimum of 1 hour.
4) You may still only trade in rooms that are located on the TRADE floor.

I just got my trading pass. Do I need to do anything else?

No. Once you get your trading pass, you do not need to do anything else, trading is automatically turned on. As always, trading can only be done in guest rooms on a Trading floor.

I have for quite a while now and still have not received the verification email. What is wrong?

Certain free emails services, such as Hotmail, may take as long as a day to receive emails from other services. Please be patient.

I fulfill those criteria and still I cannot trade. What is wrong?

The trading is enabled by signing in. Sign out and and then back in.

I signed out and back in and still I cannot trade. What is wrong?

Most likely the trading is disabled by your account's security settings.

Where can I edit my security settings?

At your Account settings which is located near the top of the main Habbo page.

Can I enable and disable trading by default?

Yes you can, but please remember that when you enable trading, it takes effect 24 hours from the change of settings to take effect.

Why does it take 24 hours to enable trading?

This is a security measure. If you enable trading you have still time to disable it, or in the case of theft your furni may still be saved.

How the trading action has changed?

Now both traders need to approve the trade by checking the Accept check box. If either one cancels, the whole trading action will be canceled.

What if my trading is disabled while trading?

The trading action will be canceled and the new setting will be in effect from there on.

How do I know if my or another user's security settings allow trading or not?

You'll see the slightly altered trading window while trying to trade as before. Now you see messages that tell if yours or other user's trading is disabled.

Can I still receive gifts even if I cannot trade?

Yes you can.

The other user's trading is disabled. Can I still give him/her a piece of furni?

Yes you can, but remember, it is considered a gift.

I don't like these new trading rules. Why have they been introduced?
