This section gives you information about bans, including the types of bans Habbo issue. The examples given are just examples - and don't constitute a complete list . In this section, we also bust some myths about Habbo bans!
This means that you have been banned for taking part in some activity which we believe may be fraudulent.
This includes making purchases without the permission of the credit/debit card owner/billpayer or parent/guardian. It can also include exploiting Habbo systems to attempt to obtain extra/free credits etc.
"Scamming", as it is known if Habbo, is basically theft. This covers people who steal others accounts, or furni and those who try to steal credits by pretending they are someone they are not, and those who attempt to defraud other Habbos.
If you've been banned for this reason, you've probably been involved in one of the following activities:
* offering free credits in exchange for furni/Habbo accounts/ information/Instant Messenger details/email addresses etc.
* Promoting scamsites by giving out web addresses or links.
* Stealing furni by tricking Habbos into playing games and then kicking them from your room or by disappearing after they've paid to stay (P2S).
* operating scamsites, or credit scams
* logging into another Habbo's account
* removing furni from another Habbo's account
* trying to trick others into revealing their password or other account information
This ban is for Habbos who give out information about themselves online. We do not allow Habbos to trade personal information for safety reasons. Asking for a/s/l (age, sex and location) is fine - but no more!
If you've been banned for this reason then you probably have taken part in one of the following activities:
* asking for, receiving, or giving out ANY personally identifying information about a Habbo (including your own!)
*asking for, receiving, or giving out ANY personally identifying information about any Sulake staff member.
* web cam offers or requests
* selling, trading or lending Habbo accounts
* disclosing or asking for school names
* disclosing or asking for paypal account names
* disclosing or asking for streets, locations
* arranging meeting places
* phone numbers (including mobile numbers).
Terms of Use Violation bans are issued when a Habbo has done something which violates our rules, or which may be illegal.
This includes:
* promoting the use of illegal drugs
* password phishing
* keylogging
* using third party software to disrupt Habbo or the Habbo website
* discussion about illegal activities
* violent/graphic role playing
* making death threats
* making bomb threats
* disclosing, sharing or posting confidential Sulake information on the web or via email or any electronic or printed form
* using Habbo when under the permitted registration age.
These bans are often permanent bans and will not be removed.
Hate Speech is when someone speaks in a nasty, insulting way about another members race, gender, sexuality, religion or disability etc.
If you have been banned for Hate Speech, then you have most likely been banned for one of the following activites:
* racial/ethnic slurs
* sexist behavior/language
* discriminatory or inflammatory actions/speech directed at a specific group of people/minority etc.
If you have been banned for Disruption this normally means you have taken part in one of the following activities:
* flooding,
* attempting to disconnect another player
* blocking doors or teleporters
* repeated attempts to trade against another Habbo's will
* guest room game disruption
* abusing the Call for Help tool
* being a nuisance within the game in such a way as it effects other users enjoyment of Habbo
Harassment is a serious issue, and we take action against Habbos who try to cause other users distress. If you have been banned for Harassment then you have probably taken part in one of the following activities:
* bullying
* sexual harassment
* multiple rooms created to harass another member
* cloning a member name to harass
* yelling out loud about another Habbo in a room
* spreading rumors about another Habbo
* creating a Habbo name to harass/imitate another player
Sexually explict behavior inside Habbo is not allowed! Asking for/taking part in such activities can mean your account is banned permanently - and it's not fun explaining why you have had your account banned to your parents either!
If you've been banned for Sexually explicit behavior, then it is probably for one of the following reasons:
* advertising prostitution
* soliciting or participating in cybersex or lapdances
* offering furni for cybersex, webcam or photos
* offering cybersex, webcam or photos of yourself
* asking for cybersex, webcam or photos of others
* discussion about sexual acts
* graphic sexual role play
* giving out website addresses to pornographic/explicit websites
No, you cannot pay to be unbanned.
The only exception to this would be in cases where the ban is due to unpaid charges; paying them can release the ban. In this instance you would be given specific instructons.
This is not true.
We do not offer telephone support to Habbos, and we will not unban Habbos who telephone the Habbo office.
The only place to discuss your ban is through the "Contact Us (Help Tool)" link at the bottom of this page.
If your account has been banned, you cannot retrieve the furni or credits that were on the account, and they cannot be transferred to a new account.
No, we will not unban Habbos who pretend to be their parent/guardian.
If we find that a Habbo is not being honest with us, we are unlikely to lift the ban from their account.
No, you cannot ask for your friend's account to be unbanned.
We can only discuss a Habbo account with the person who owns that account.
A Safety Ban was a ban put in place when a Habbo thought that their account may have been stolen.
We no longer offer Safety Bans, and therefore cannot place on on your account.
Only you should have access to your account.
If your friend/brother/sister or anyone else has got your account banned, then they have had to have your password.
We are always warning our users not to allow other people on their Habbo accounts. As your account is your responsibility, you should take more care over it. If you've been banned because you let someone else on your account - it's still your responsibility.
Vulgaity is exactly what it sounds like - nasty, rude and vulgar behavior when inside Habbo!
If you've been banned for Vulgarity it's probably due to one of the following reasons:
* excessive and nasty swearing
* unacceptable rooms or behaviour in rooms
* unacceptable Habbo names
* unacceptable discussion
* unacceptable ASCII art.
