My father, divorced from my mother, shot himself in the head on January 17th, 2003, when I was 12.
I turned 13 later that year.
I grew up without a biological father as I passed my teenage years.
If any of you have had to suffer what I have suffered, I am sincerely sorry.
I feel suicidal myself at times, wracked with guilt, wondering if I did enough to reach out to him.
It's eating away at my heart.
