I took some time off of punk music and got really into folk punk for a while-- I realize now that was a mistake. Something about suppressing emotions by thinking everything is okay, being selfish and romanticizing everything too much. I guess that's one of the best things about raw punk rock; you never know what you're gonna get, but you know it's gonna be straight from the heart and it's gonna be real.
